Agree Your Team’s Working Hours
Include your required hours and time zone in the role brief. We discuss the schedule with you and confirm the working arrangement before the person starts. Explain when you need collaboration, customer coverage or a handover to another team.
Make the Schedule Specific
State the working days, start and finish times and the time zone those hours refer to. Note any daylight-saving changes and whether the schedule should follow your local time throughout the year. Discuss weekend or other coverage requirements during briefing so they can be considered in recruitment.
Plan the Time You Need Together
Identify the meetings, reviews and customer interactions that require overlap. Work that can be completed independently still needs a way to raise questions and hand over progress. Agree who will be available to answer questions during the person’s working day.
How do you manage changes and overtime?
Discuss changes to the agreed schedule with Covela before putting them into practice. Overtime requests come through the platform for your approval, coordinated by our people. Confirm any effect on the working arrangement and charges rather than assuming extra hours are included.
Prepare for Leave and Coverage
Your business identifies work that needs cover when someone is away. Covela coordinates leave administration and requests for your approval. Agree the handover and customer-facing arrangements with your team, and confirm any additional staffing requirements separately.
Your Questions
Can team members work in our time zone?
Include your required hours and time zone in the brief, including any daylight-saving changes or weekend coverage. We discuss those requirements and confirm the working arrangement before the role starts.
