Start with a written scope
Record the tasks, required experience, working hours and time zone. Include recurring peaks such as month-end or seasonal customer demand. Changes to these inputs may change the proposal, so date each version of your budget.
Separate recurring costs from setup
- Recurring: quoted staffing fees, software licences and any separately charged equipment or workspace.
- Setup: recruitment or onboarding charges if applicable, access provisioning and initial training.
- Internal time: your manager’s induction, process documentation, daily guidance and review.
A cost may already be included in a quoted fee. Mark it as included instead of counting it twice. Keep different currencies separate until you record an explicit conversion rate and date.
Use a worksheet rather than a savings promise
Add confirmed costs first. Mark unknowns for discussion and record the source of each number. If comparing with a local role, use the same hours, scope and management responsibilities; a different arrangement is not a like-for-like comparison.

Confirm billing currency and frequency, inclusions, any initial charges, notice terms and how changed requirements affect pricing. Your written proposal should resolve the details for your role.
