What did the business need?
BikeExchange, a global cycling marketplace connecting consumers with over 1,600 retailers and brands across North America, Europe, Australia and Latin America, was built on Marketplacer's third-party SaaS platform. To control its roadmap it needed a fully proprietary stack, and the migration had to carry hundreds of thousands of product listings without disrupting the retailers trading on them. Adaca joined the work in 2022.
How was the work organised?
Adaca provided a technical lead and a pod of engineers to supplement the internal team, rebuilding the platform from the ground up: real-time inventory management, POS integrations with Lightspeed and Shopify, Click and Collect, and integrated shipping via sister company Kitzuma.
What changed?
BikeExchange launched its proprietary platform and took ownership of its technology stack across four continents of operation. Adaca supplied engineering leadership and developers for the rebuild, having joined the work in 2022.
